You decide what it costs you to miss. Then it holds you to it — without ever saying a cruel word.
Naming the moment roughly doubles follow-through. It's the most useful line on this page.
Runs right here. Nothing saved, nothing sent.
Every reminder here has one job: get you to do the thing so the reminders stop. Nothing arrives to punish you after the fact — that just teaches people to delete the app.
In your words. It gets quoted back to you, exactly as you wrote it, every time.
You wrote "no exceptions." We're 12 minutes from an exception.A countdown. A streak that resets. Money that forfeits. A friend who gets told. You pick how far it goes, before you start.
A photo taken inside the window, checked so the same one can't be used twice. Your phone's screen-time data. A geofence at the gym. How well you can prove it decides how much you're allowed to stake.
You set a word when you start. Type it and everything ends — instantly, free, for good. There's no pause and no snooze, because those are why other apps stop working by February.
Not once, about anything. That's not politeness — insults would make it worse at its job. People who get shamed about their weight tend to gain more, not less, and people who feel bad about who they are hide and quit. People who feel bad about what they did fix it.
Every message is checked against those rules before it sends. The research behind all of it, including the parts that argue against us, is on the evidence page.
The web app ships first. Founding members keep this rate for as long as they stay.

Nothing charged today. One email when it opens, and nothing before that. 18+.
Yes — we charge you when you miss, and that's how we make money. You should know that up front, so here it is plainly.
What we do about the conflict: the app is free to use, your first week costs $0, then it's $5 — and the amount only goes up after you've already missed. You set a ceiling on every goal, nothing takes more than $270 from you in a month, and quitting is one word and always free. We'd rather you never pay us. People who never miss are the ones who tell their friends.
Then this isn't the right tool, and we say so. We ask about it at signup, and a yes limits food, body and exercise goals to reminders only — no money, no streak burns. Those goals are also actions only, never weights or calories.
You can buy them a code. You can't sign them up. They redeem it and pick everything themselves — the goal, how far it goes, and the word that ends it. Which is the funny part, really.
Honestly, the research says effects fade when a commitment ends — that's true of every product like this and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What we can do is make it easy to keep renewing the commitment.
Because everyone instantly knows what it means, and nobody knows what "accountability platform" means. It describes how it feels at 11pm when you haven't done the thing — not what it says to you.
